We welcome comments on StartlingStats.com and encourage suggestions for other statistics to study and feature. We feel that open, respectful debate is the hallmark of a healthy society. For comments to be accepted, please follow these guidelines:
Be legal. Do not submit anything that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive or otherwise illegal.
Be courteous. Comments that are threatening or verbally abusive will not be accepted. Nor will repetitive messages that deliberately disrupt discussion.
Be respectful. Our online dialogue will flourish when all participants feel welcome and safe. Do not use language that abuses or discriminates on the basis of religion, nationality, race, age, gender, disability, sexual preference, etc.
Debate the ideas. Don't attack the people behind the ideas. We assume that there will be strong disagreements about many of these issues. We welcome intense debate, but personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Be responsible. You bear sole responsibility for the content of your submissions. While StartlingStats.com and Crystal Springs Foundation is not responsible for the content of submissions, we reserve the right to delete, move, or edit submissions that we, in our sole discretion, deem unacceptable in any way.
With your submission of an idea or a comment, you acknowledge that your submission may be edited, removed, modified, published, transmitted and displayed by StartlingStats.com and Crystal Springs Foundation and you waive any rights you may have in the material. By making a submission, you consent to its display and publication on StartlingStats.com and for related online and offline promotional uses, and you grant StartlingStats.com and Crystal Springs Foundation a perpetual, nonexclusive, world-wide, royalty free, sub-licensable license to the submissions, which includes without limitation the right for StartlingStats.com, Crystal Springs Foundation, or any third party it designates, to use, copy, transmit, publish, display, create derivative works of, host, index, cache, tag, modify and adapt in any way in any form or media now known or later developed, any submission posted by you.
